Metal cabinets decay on claims??

I was under the impression that metal cabinets do not decay outdoors on claimed land. Am I wrong?

(I made a metal cabinet. I put someone's gift-wrapped birthday present in it. It is not there now and the person has not got their birthday present. WTF?)

(We are the only people with access to the claim. It is highly unlikely that the other person is lying about not having seen a metal cabinet appear outside their house).

... I guess someone is going to find a gift box with shiny things in in beach trash? It's clearly labelled as a birthday present, maybe PM me if you find it and are feeling generous?

They do not decay outside. I'm 100% certain of this. I have a metal cab that has been outside for a month with no damage.

Last time I used them (in another world) I kept them on grassland with no issues. This one was placed on ploughed field. Anyone know if this makes a difference?

They decay when they are out of claim (at low speed) and so there are two options - someone took cabinet away or you left it out of the claim
