Weapon Damage?

I know damage is based on strength, but I'm not sure how.
When I change my equipment to change my strength, the damage doesn't change.

Wiki says base damage on a Bronze Sword is 90. I have a q200 that does 403 damage. When I plug in all the math with Base STR(151) or Total STR(224) neither seems to add up correctly.

Can anyone clear this up? I'm considering making a fyrdsman's sword but the quality would only be 136 so I don't know if it would be worth it since I can't math out the right answer.

Not a fan of this formula but here you go: wepaon damage * sqrt(sqrt(str*quality)/10)

Q200 bronze sword * 224 str = 44800

square root of 44800 = 211.7

211.7 / 10 = 21.17

Square root of 21.17 = 4.60

That means you deal 4.60x the base weapon damage at max openings, or 90 * 4.6 = 414 damage.

Why is it slightly off? Dunno rounding? Why doesn't changing your strength change the damage value? I think the damage displayed is a custom client feature and it might not be updating the value when your STR changes. All I can suggest is changing your STR and relogging. Custom client might also have the damage formula wrong I guess.

I checked the wiki and did the math. It wasnt adding up.

Did you take into account that the target not having 100% opening will reduce the damage?

sqrt(sqrt(200*2))=4.47
sqrt(sqrt(150*2))=4.16
kinda 7% differecne from baseDmg at 100% oppening
so you have to 7dmg difference if use firdsman sword(100baseDmg) & 100oppening (when increase str or Q by 50)
if you use spear(80baseDmg) and 50% oppening = 2-3dmg difference

most ideal proportion is when str=Qweapon, most effective reachable str=4*Qweapon
sqrt(sqrt(800*2))=6.32 (800means str, 2 means Q\100)
max baseDmg = battleAxe
kinda 40%*150=60 if you use battleAxe200q and boost your str up to 800
(6.32*150=948total if i can calc well, just a cost +600str & 12steel if you wanna double your dmg)
(4kSTR = 1418dmg ... kinda 1dmg for each 7str at 200q after 800str)
