Tamming animals W16

does anyone know how to tame animals (horses) while you are a sprucecap? I have 20 ua/10 mc, a knife, and wooden armor
a couple of years ago I remember it was possible to surround tied animals with boulders and fight, but in W16 tied horse just broke a boulder and cheesed me

You can use houses and cave entrances. Still, it's not very fun to tame with these stats.
If you could get a low quality bronze sword from somewhere, it would speed up the process.

So now there is no "safe" way to tame animals? just fair enough fight?

You can use water to tame safely.
Or you could also stop refusing to eat food and get some stats.

Not really, there's always a way mess it up

Some time ago the use of ridges (the same way you used boulders) for cheesing was mentioned. Shame on me, haven't checked it since w14. The point is using a ridge long enough, about 60 (?) tiles in both directions. Or some enclosed, circular ridge. I believe it also can be terraform'd with Embankment Scaffold

Its possible to tame as a spruce, it has to with with claim permissions. look at your DM's

You can easily boat cheese it with a boar spear. You just need to tie it near deep water.

Boat taming is also possible or use a cave/house. Low damage is good for taming upper cut sideswip with a low ql axe goes a long way.
