Moonlight Serenade of a Hearhtlings grief

Postby Justforthis » Fri May 15, 2026 5:10 pm

About 36 hours ago I logged in and my outer palisade was missing. Everything in between my outer and inner palisade was untouched, sublime. I autistically check my walls before logging out and I am 99% certain that another 12 hours earlier when I logged out there was no Ram drying outside.
From What I Gather palisades under claim can only be destroyed by siege engines. Can catapults, which have no drying time according to the wiki, target and destroy a palisade? Or am I in the wrong and titans with sledgehammer can bash a palisade even on claim?

Ah, but this is a digression. The real interesting question is why would someone destroy my outer wall, leave my inner wall pristine, and defile nothing in between? I haven't built it to be in anyones way in any way shape or form covering no limited resource or obstructing any nearby road, simply including a little more land to eventually plant trees on.

I get the "kicking down kids sandcastles on the beach" style griefing which exists in every game. I'm not a fan but I get it. But why this half cocked shit? It makes me, curious... Interested even. Perhaps, in love?

Who would do this? Would they bake pancakes unflipped with a sloppy top? Would they brush only half their teeth? Upper half or bottom? Or is it a slow metabolism kinda thing? They come back again to enjoy more meat later? Leaving me mostly unhurt, so I stay, and get used to the abuse. Even, dependent. And soon, I can't live without?

Obsession, both ways, thinking about each other constantly, skipping sleep to catch the other unaware, our distinct life rythms Dancing around in escapades enveloped in moonlight spinning faster and faster sunk cost fallacy drawing us both into the middle of a spiral of lovely agonizing tension building more an more until finally WE-
Until Finally, we meet, you fill me up, and End me, and then it's over... Silence cradling us both, as you shed a single tear, into the blood as it pools, and I leave you. Alone.

I see you, my silent admirer, my stalker in the night. How you would love your hands around my throat. How I would love to catch a glimpse and escape you ever so, Slightly. Out. Of .Reach....

it's true for fully dried palisades.

Your inner wall was fully dried and not clickable. Outer wall probably just cascaded fully (or like in 2 attemtps), that explains why it is fully gone. Stuff in between walls is probably just carrot piles, who cares.
schizo rant

I'm happy for you, or sorry that happened.
