Good source of leather/skins at early stage

Postby dariun » Tue Sep 08, 2015 11:25 am

Hi all,

Just wondering what a viable source of skins/leather would be in the early stages and what skills/attributes are required? Catching the occasional rabbit and hoping to come across Badger kill isn't really quick.

I know in old Haven you could get a sling and about 10-15 mm skill and then pen in and shoot cows etc, would this work on the current animals or not? :-/

Thanks!

Get 10MM and a not too low QL bow and arrows, you will one shot foxes easy. Even kill boars, once they start running, run after them and beat them up, they wont attack when fleeing.

They won't attack, but can still cause damage. One person already discovered that boars have a defense that can cause damage and posted about it. He chased after a fleeing boar and was KO'd by this defense.

Careful, I shot at a fox, missed but still close enough to aggro, he kicked my ass.

I've killed like 20 bears between 5-10 MM - I don't see any reason to hunt anything except badgers, deer and bear.
At least once you've your smexy bunny slippers
I'm amused by my own antics.

Tame a horse, use it to catch rabbits, then when it's almost out of pony power trap it again a cliff and shoot it from above.

rabbits are not too difficult to catch

server lag sometimes helps you out
you can catch rabbits at 3 speed
another way you can catch the rabbit walk in a direction away from the rabbit but still close by the rabbit will totally ignore you 60% of the time
set your movement speed and use the mini map to click on the rabbit

Objection.

kitsune121x wrote:server lag sometimes helps you out

I've never had server lag be beneficial to me in any way, especially while hunting.

Very rarely. I've tried to catch rabbits this way at least 20 times and I've only caught one once.

How does this even work? Please describe in more detail.
