Play time vs. Subscription

Postby Jacobian123 » Thu Sep 10, 2015 7:50 pm

Is there any way to just buy game time instead of buying a subscription? I thought you could, but I don't see the option in the Shoppe anymore, unless I'm totally blind.

I would much rather buy a month's worth of play time instead of a monthly subscription, as I don't play 24/7 and it would be the better deal in the long run for me.

Right at the bottom. Again, why people can't understand this is beyond me, theres month tokens etc. But its pointless, just get a subscription, its cheaper.

Those look like subscriptions.

They are ingame tradeable subscriptions. The extra cost is because you get an item you can trade to other people.

Very standard practice these days. Exactly like EVE plex.

So there's no way to just buy game time?

Sucks. I'd definitely pay for that.

It's been under consideration from the devs. Though there hasn't been a particularly strong support for the idea.

Let me support the idea further, then. I have a wildly varying schedule at work from 60-70 hours a week sometimes to being so slow I could take 5 weeks of vacation. I would love to pay for extra hours only when I have actual time to be online, then other times the 7/14 hours a week would be enough.

Just buy a month at a time when you have time off work, and play with the once off $15 when you've got a heavy work schedule.

Would much rather just buy hours of gametime.

For now I guess I'll verify my account and live off the 24+14 hours a week.

It's just 14 hours a week. The 24 hours is a one time bump from upgrading.
