Problems finding ore rocks

Hi all,


I've been reading that ore rocks spawn here and there but after running around where I live I've only ever seen marble and the red porphyp (sp?) rock.

I've wandered around in almost all directions for maybe 20 minutes each way but have not spotted any special rocks, is this normal or have I just picked a real crap site to set up base?

Also, since finding surface ore doesn't seem realistic at the moment, does anyone know the per/explo required to find rustroot...and is rustroot found in all biomes except swamps and stone areas?

minimum amount of perc*exp for rustroot is around 500. It does seem to spawn in most forests and grasslands.

Dude get amber client, you can display rocks on the minimap, and also choose wich one. (The others custom clients probably can too)

Just mine each rock, and if its a stone do shift+ctrl while hovering the rock, it will give you its name. Go in option - minimap, and disable that type of rock... Go around, rince and repeat. It worked for me yesterday.

Question tho, can you see ore rocks if you don't have the mining skill ?

good luck finding ore rocks.. they don't seem to respawn and everyone seems to cleared/gathered them for atleast a 3 hour trip in all directions from me

Well shit, just because of that alone the default client is already disadvantageous. Now I have no choice but to download it.

Loftar's not a huge fan of coding UI, so it was only a short matter of time before that happened. The displaying players on the minimap advantage was out like a week ago for public customs, probably day one for private clients.

Cave ins aren't lethal right now nor do they do HHP damage on cave level. Everyone's just hunting in caves and "prospecting" the walls by mining them supportless.

Yeah I do think that needs to be nerfed. I hate when content doesn't get used.
