Now that key alts aren't as viable, how do I keep as safe as possible with keys and etc?
Keep the master inside, and only take a slave out, using hearth to get in?

Why would you even waste time with a key alt if the key is literally useless to potential raiders? I'm tempted even to just keep a key in some log nearby so it doesn't waste inventory space after I've gotten outside.

When you have several walled off locations, and you can place HF, and thus teleport, to only one of them, it's inevitable that the remaining ones will be accessible with the use of keys, and thus prone to infiltration by attackers who manage to steal some keys.
