get phat strength?

what're you guys using to grind upwards of 100 str? bear sausages is the obvious but I'm somewhat lost without cheese...

Boar sausages, bear sausages, dried morels, and filler food. Not sure what else to say here. Eat lots and eat yourself down to like 25% FEP gains. It's not like food is hard to get and ultimately eating more gets you more stats if you're eating smart. Lower tiers of hunger raise faster, so even if it's less efficient in terms of the amount of food eaten it's more efficient in terms of gains over time.

There are two ways.

Starve yourself for a week. This'll put you into the 200% to 300% bonus for eating food.
The second way is to use a large variety of food. Eat a bear sausage, a boar sausage, dried morel, beetroot leaves, berries, nuts and so on.

What I personally do is try to sit at around the 200% bonus with 95% hunger or so of the bar full. Then I'll eat a bear sausage for the 200% bonus, and a few berries and stuff for variety. This'll give me +1 Str and put me at around 3-5% hunger with a 100% bonus. It takes maybe an hour or two for me to get back to the 95% bonus and I do it again. It's probably not the fastest way, but I'm using a single bear sausage per Str gain (with over 70 str), and am still getting probably +8 str a day by doing this.

Also make sure you use a table. I can't remember what I use (and can't look), but deer antler cutlery is great, so are wine glasses (man, wine glasses are amazing, -10% satiation and +1% FEPs and they take nothing but glass to make). But just fill it with whatever you can. Right now my table is something like -55% satiation and +5-6% FEPs. If I wasn't trying to be efficient with sausages (due to lack of supply), I'd probably be able to scarf down on 50-60 sausages before hitting the 50% effectiveness due to hunger.

but after 100 str i'm eating 2 bear sausages and getting +1 str easy

You need to fill it to get the bonus? Or empty cup/glass is fine?

With decay not hitting for almost a week, berries and nuts not regrowing at all, I guess your way of doing 200% at 95% is most efficient in my case. Thanks for the tips.

I mean fill the table with whatever cutlery you can. Even a wooden plate and cup is better than nothing.

As for berries, you can use a shovel to pick up bushes and move them around, can even put them in a cart. Go collect every bush within a 5 mile radius of you. You'll have no problems after that. If you do, just grow some bushes, they grow insanely fast and you always get enough berries from them to grow another bush or two + more for variety. Quality doesn't even matter either, since you're only using them for the variety bonus.

so to be clear on the table, does "satiation reduction" refer only to the specific food types or general hunger? mine is doing ~60% and 7% FEP

I've been trying to stick in the 200% efficacy bracket but I guess if food is totally abundant it may make more sense to eat myself silly

Satiations is the list of penalties you see on the top right side of the screen. It's definitely different from hunger because there used to be a hunger reduction as well, but this got changed around.

If food is plentiful, I think abusing variety bonus and sitting in the 90% bracket is plenty acceptable for gain.
