Around 20-25 is enough if you know what you're doing. 40 for you.

Those two statements somewhat contradict each other.

With 20-25 uac go in with 3 green/blue defenses loaded at max distance from the fox while moving away from it to give you time to get through your cooldowns. If you have a fyrdman's sword or better then punch to break its defenses and chop. If you don't then utilize green and blue attacks to try to either get around its defenses when possible or to quickly break its defenses and deal damage. Try to keep quick dodge up at all times and watch its moves when possible.

With 40 uac engage it in combat, quick dodge to keep your defenses up, punch to victory.

It's mostly about agility. Foxes have higher agility than a bat and around the same as a badger. with about 26 it's doable with 20-25 ua. You'll also need a sword or a decent axe to outright kill it. I think they have 110 hp - so punch it a few times and chop it to finish it off.

You don't need 26 agility, however, if you make a mistake with anything less you'll probably have a hard time beating it without taking dmg.
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.

So some cheap leather armor wouldn't hurt.

better get a horse, otherwise you may never catch 'em running.
