How do you unlock the chop move?

How to do it? Through combat discovery or is there something like militia training to purchase for LP?

I feel as though this may be true you are more likely to get certain moves from certain animals. Kick for instance I have NEVER seen until I decided to actually try to get it from an ant. I haven't actually gotten any extra chops from trying to learn new moves from boars etc.

Disclaimer: This is just my personal experience, I am not a developer so I have no way of knowing 100% how it actually works, trial and error.

Certain moves are linked to certain animals, yes, but chop is on like every animal. I've gotten it from ants, badgers, foxes, mouflon, and boars. Maybe bats? I'm not sure about bats.

I doubt the assumption that certain moves are only learned from certain animals. There also were rumours about needing to be unarmed for KHTO, having a shield for shield block etc. etc. Those all turned out wrong.

Chop might require you to have IP stacked to learn it now though. That is the one requirement I could not disprove till now.

Anyone knows how to learn chop after "Game Development: Valhalla Rising"?

I've attacked 5 foxes and killed 40 bats and I don't seem to get it.
I have a sword equipped, I got Shield equipped and both learnt parry and shield block. However, no chop. I often use "take aim" move to get the ip in case that's needed.

Confirmed no chop on bats, killed like 100 of them, got shield and parry and everything, no chop. Gonna go for ants, I guess
