Stealth, can you leave no scents?

Postby alioli » Sun Oct 18, 2015 9:41 pm

Is it possible to do crime and leave no scents? Or is it any skills that affect your tracking?
Because I had 2 mouflons tied to a hitching post that I'd began to tame, and when I logged on the walls were broken, and they were found dead outside my claim with no scents to be found

You always leave scents when you commit a crime on a claimed land. The question is, if someone killed your animals and bashed your stuff, if you have enough perc*expl to see the scents.

It's probably just been more than 8 hours since they aggroed it
And was your wall actually broken? I had a boar I was taming aggroed and there was no damage to my palisade or brickwall

if you DON'T have the trespassing skill, and turn on the criminal acts and trespass into someone's land, do you still leave scents?
just wondering.

Sorry, I shall clarify, it was a silly fence. Which Im now going to work on improving to a palisade.
It is possible that they aggroed them outside of my claim, well that sucks. Didn't think of that until now.

Any time you do something on claimed land that requires permissions, aka need to turn on criminal acts, you leave scents. You need the skills to perform specific actions. For trespassing, that's opening gates and doors, containers, etc.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

This confusion has been around for ages. They should rename the skill to snooping, and have "tresspassing" as a default skill imo.
