Can't get the game to run

I download autohaven.jnlp.
I double-click autohaven.jnlp and a window pops up. It will go anywhere from Downloading to Verifying Application.
From here it just hangs for a long time. I believe the longest I tried was a full hour.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Been searching forums and fixes for hours today.
I've disabled my virus protection, un-installed and re-installed the latest version of Java, tried downloading a different Client that freezes on downloading jogl.jar, switched my time zone on the taskbar to 3 different timezones for -7 UTC.

Can anyone please help me?

control panel > Java > Temp Internet File Settings > Delete Files > cached applications and applets

Yeah. Tried that. Also cleared browser data and cookies just in case.

Oh I deleted the Trace files too. I was just replying very literal. Sry.

hmmm, and it still doesnt start?

what you can do is actually to try it again,

reinstall the latest java (make sure whether you are downloading 32 or 64 bit accordingly) and uninstall old ones
clear cache
redownload autohaven (or custom client)
and try running it.

also, try checking your ping too maybe?
if the above fails again, then you should give more information on your computer specs and such, i think.

Nope it's not working.

Retried everything.
Then tried installing 32-bit first and then 64-bit to see if that would make a difference. Restarted my computer even.

Windows 7 64-bit
16gb of ram.
3.60 ghz quad.

Gonna try a Driver update and the forbidden windows update. It that doesn't work then I'm just gonna give up on this game and find something else that won't waste my weekend.

Did you try custom client yet? Might be worth a shot as they come with most of the files downloaded already. (instead of using .jnlp launcher/downloader).
You can find different ones in here:

Just download, unzip and run run.bat file. If this launches the game properly then there is something blocking the default client files.

I had attempted to us the other popular client, that I now cannot remember the name of as it didn't work when trying to download the files.
However it did not come in a pre-packaged zip file. So I am assuming that you are correct in that there is something blocking my connection to the default client files.
