Combat question.

Postby linkfanpc » Sun Nov 08, 2015 10:39 pm

If i were to, using the Rage skill, engage combat with a Hearthling who does not have the Rage skill, would he be able to attack me?

Also, is summoning by Crime Scents still in-game?

Summoning by scent is the cornerstone of Seatribe game concepts. Only if something better comes along will this leave the game.

How is it done now, anyways? I couldn't seem to figure it out. I tracked a thief's hearthfire and tried using the scent on it to no effect
I then bashed the fire and tried right clicking the scent on the ground which also did nothing. I had assumed it was removed and replaced by the inability to log out as a criminal

That I'm aware, nothing about summoning has changed. Maybe I missed a post discussing it, and it's not something I mess with much as I tend to hermit. Murder, whether for justice or just at random, is pretty much a death warrant for a hermit.

Summoning is not in the game anymore. Rather, criminals do not log out.

Have you just recently taken this out? I thought I remembered you saying something about summoning in a wagon ..... anyway, w/e, it's a sad day for hermits wanting justice against those that harm them .... so many people build their hf's clearly in sight and then commit crimes, perfect for the walled hermit to gain some retribution relatively safely.

Not much chance of me breaking into a village and then making it to the offending char unspotted or unaided, not to mention the new fighting system doesn't work for me, using two defence moves and not even being able to punch is hardly going to do much damage, lol, really, the criminal system in this game seriously needs looking at as it still favours the criminal way above those seeking justice .... and also, I appear to be the only one who can't use the new system due to my pc or something which I don't understand, but no-one has any solutions, so, I can't even defend myself or kill the wildlife and obviously as my char progresses it's becoming a big issue and spoiling my play and my advancement, all those discoveries I'm missing out on. It's now sort of pointless my playing, without being able to attack I can't even tame. :(

Do you not have any idea how I can solve it?

No, it has never been in. Wagons being the exception.

I'm not sure I understand the problem? What do you mean "can't use the new system"? What happens when you engage an animal?

Well, providing I'm using the system correctly, it's a bit difficult without any information other than what I've been told ... the number keys only work for two moves, which is sidestep and quick dodge, when I try to use punch, left hook or jump, either nothing happens or the keys use their other function and don't seem to override as ppl say they do. I have asked others and the response was that my keyboard uses dual purpose on all the number keys, I'm not even sure I understand how that affects anything, it never has before, in this game or others, lol, my keyboard is the same as most other ppl I know ... but, sadly, none of them play Haven so I can't ask them to sort it out for me.

Maybe, I'm still just missing something but it is my understanding that the moves correspond to the number keys and as I said, I have no trouble with making the two moves above appear, over and over again, lol, so I must be doing something right, but no other number keys allow the other three moves I have to be used. And yes, they are saved in my deck.

Any idea's? Am I doing something wrong?
