Wells

How to build the damn well? Will the downsing rod lead me to a visible spot of water like it was in legacy? Beacuse the arrows led me to a spot where i stood for a moment and got "the water table cannot rise any further from there" so i thought thats the spot,i paved it,and bang,"the water runs too deep from here" :o

Tbh, J&L should just let us build Wells anywhere....it's not like it would hurt much and it would be alot more nicers for people who lives in places such as brodgar.

My assumption is that you need to lower the ground (i.e. dig) in that spot until you get close enough to the "water table"

Can confirm, best way to look for a well is to really want it.

The try a well everywhere method works on level terrain. But if the land has hills, there are many tiles you can't check. It isn't always possible to place a well in several adjacent tiles, sometimes just 2 or 3 tiles spread out in an area.

Because I love you all so much, and want nothing more than to be helpfully awesome ¦], here is a few bits from a conversation long ago.

13:02 loftar > Well, I guess it's fair at least to say as much as that you really don't have to try every single tile.
13:02 loftar > It is extremely likely that, if one tile doesn't work, the area around won't either.
13:02 loftar > And conversely.
13:03 loftar > That is, wells are now not just buildable on singular tiles.
