Easy str food?

I wonder is there any? I can't seem t get past 29 str (my highest is 60 PER at the moment)

Still to weak to hunt real animals and make bear cape/talisman
same for taming animals for cheesemaking

should i try wine or something else?
any advice?

Dried morels on herb table. There are some str giving fish as well. Steak and tubers with meat from bats. Grubs.

dont forget yellowfeet they give int and str.

with the right positioning and a bunch of arrows you can " easily" kill boars. Near my base is a u shaped cliff. i kite the animal into it and jump at the bottom of the u down. Now the boar is stuck and i pepper it with arrows till it flees. Then just deagro and follow and finish it off with an arrow without risk.

i used to kill 1 boar and a deer near my base but it's still too hard for me..

by the way they both gave me 110+ quality meat and bones, is that normal?

you can inspect their quality before and after death. Animals can have up to I guess 400? quality. So yeah it's normal. Most of them have base quality though. Which is 30 for boars and 40 for deer.

Stick it with a sword?
If you can't melee it, your only option is archery. 60 perc is nice, just make a good bow and get some MM. Get a boat, find a bear, try to get it somewhere where land changes directly into deep water, without shallow. Aggro it, get an alt to block it with branch stockpiles so it can't flee, and practice some archery on it.

i usually kill boars by 'tapping' it with UA under a cliff, keep defenses up then go in for a few hits. it sucks when you gotta chase them down though
i fear bears may keep attacking after you're downed, killing your hearthling. which is far too great a risk for a hermit

soldier ants are also good str food at the start if you don't mind not studying them. grubs are good too but i found it tough to raise str early game. maybe eat a lot of berries to help with the fep burden
i eat mostly sausage atm and str is easier now hehe

Chestnut, hips, walnut, blackcurrant, peas are good str fillers too to combine with other str food and reduce FEP bar (if you can plant some).

Bears can switch targets. Though it's highly unlikely he'll kill your alt, it might screw your strategy.
