bears?

i have 35ua/35mc and i have sword/shield with 31/44 ac and 39str/35agi (after gear) or 17mm - 18/21/16 bow with 10 22/24/23 bone arrows
i have sting, shield up, take aim, parry and quick dodge for moves
there is a long cliff about 2 minimaps away, half grass half forest

i doubt i can fight in melee and i have bad luck with archery
i'm thinking of letting him free then to follow it until i find a good cliff nearby but i'm unsure how fast the bear is and how hard they hit, i'm down to 170hhp

and i really want that cloak as a hermit
so what do you guys suggest?

hmm so atleast 70ua/mc? ill remember but i already know that it's a deathwish if i try now in melee

the question is how do i kill/trap it today :p

Before I was able to melee bears I just killed them like this:



Basically just sail along rivers until you see bear or any animal then do 'attack' to aggro it to the side, then get off on the other side. If you can do enough damage with each shot that you skip the enraged part then you dont need to worry about setting up the boats but if the bear goes enraged then it will just run away unless you have boats in place.

If you think you can ua bear with 35 uac youre wrong. And that means you are noob. And that means you need atleast 100ua/100mc for bear. Dont even try with 70 if you dont know what youre doing.

you didn't see where i said "deathwish" huh
but i won't deny the noob part, i got plenty of wounds to show it

but i found they chase 3.5 at full health, poor alt i never used

i followed the bear to a river then shot across, he ran for it after i hit him (4th shot) then i followed him to a lake, found you can shoot while swimming lol
now chasing him around with a bow :/

bear went rage mode and knocked me out before i could get away but didn't kill me so i feel fortunate
then couldn't find the thing after it ran away

if they run its better to just give up than chase, or youll be there all day

thats what I meant, if it runs, you have to wait until its out of your minimap before it will stop

but theres no point in pursuing it at that point because if you reaggro it then it just continues to run and even out of aggro they constantly keep moving so it makes trying to get another arrow into it a total nightmare, also even if you succeed to shoot it then it will just charge you and fuck you up

if you stick to the boat method I showed before it makes every 10x easier, it takes a while to set up and requires 2 characters but it is only way to do it properly
