Is twitch hunting from a boat still a thing? Or do you either have to 1 shot them or chase them down every time?

You block them with something these days.

So you basically always need to hunt with an Alt? So you can hold aggro then have the alt block them in?

Pull them toward a shallow crossing and let them run to you, change the side, aim at where you have been, shoot them when they reached that spot, rinse, repeat until dead.

No, you pussy. You raise your main's AGI, UA and MC, get some decent gear, and fight them 1v1 like a man.

I've found melee hunting to be the most efficient method by far. It may be scary at first, but once you're used to it you'll find it's not all that hard. (Would not recommend mammoths until you're really strong, though.)

Would you be willing to divulge your stats so I know what's reasonable to go Mammoth Bappin'?

Using a q112 Bronze Sword.

At this point, I have no problems fighting Mammoths. When I do accidentally screw up for a moment, it deals something like 44 armor damage (taking into account my AC [59/60], that is just over 100 damage when including fully soaked damage). (Do note that I have three blocks in my moveset, and I need all three of them against mammoths.)

I've heard rumors about them having a ranged attack, but I haven't experienced it myself. I make sure to be close enough when aggroing and make sure they can path to me just in case that causes them to do unexpected things like using ranged attacks.

They seem to move at around horse speed 3 (careful: not hearthling speed 3, horse speed 3). I think they're a tiny bit faster, but not entirely sure.

While we're on the subject of powerful animals, does anybody know how much stronger Trolls are compared to Mammoths, and if they use their cave-in attack if you're not trying to block them/use other lame tricks? I want to know if I should fight them if I ever encounter one, or if it would be plain suicide.

Your deck and armor suck, improve that and you'll be quicker/safer even with much lower stats...
