Getting Boars

Postby Acefirebird » Sun Apr 24, 2016 8:40 pm

Hello,
Recently I've been attempting to rope boars by giving them clovers and then roping them. I was able to do this once successfully. The next two times it didn't work despite the fact that I didn't change anything in my methods. I get relatively close to the boar but not close enough for agro, and then I use the clover. About half way through the clover process, it just starts attacking me. I don't put down the clover and I don't move. Why is it working sometimes and not the other? How can I make it work every time?

So every time I try to tame a boar there's a chance I'll get 2 deep cuts, 1 fell slash, and a concussion?

Maybe try taming them with your combat alt? i think 40 melee is enough to tank one blow with shield up, then you can outrun him on third speed. Or wear armor, he won't be able to break it, maybe only with his ip attack

A character which is made just for fighting, like you pump his melee/unarmed only and eat agi/str food. I suggest you to make one or two, unless you want to die on your main when somebody start sieging you and you try to counter siege .

People begin with Yellowfeet, Rat-on-a-Stick, Pumpkin, fishs.
You can also hunt boars with a bow on/near boat, make peace when they flee and wait for them to go near a river again to finish the kill with bow.

Wow that boar killing method sounds like a real waste of my time, I have more important things to do outside of this game. I guess ill just have to be patient and grow pumkins. What are "yellowfeet"?
