Buildings Which Quality Matters

Postby Enjoyment » Sun May 01, 2016 3:38 pm

Inspired by my favorite mod's reply in Grand List of Simple Questions:
MagicManICT wrote:
Most buildings that aren't used in crafting don't pay attention to quality. There are a couple of exceptions. I can't think of any example, but don't want to say "all" and be wrong.

Things where quality matters:

Bee Skep (Hive)
Loom
Anvil
Tanning Tub
Table (quality does apply to bonuses, even if smaller than the other items used)

Things where quality doesn't matter:

Large Chest
Cheese Rack (just the rack, not the cheese trays... these do count)
Palisade (and other walls)
Houses

I think you should get the idea. You can always check the wiki to be sure. http://ringofbrodgar.com/wiki/Haven_and_Hearth_Wiki

I found it a little bit weird and incomlete, so I wanna post a full list. Here we go:

WARNING!!! Next data may contain some errors. Feel free to discuss or correct me in comments.

TEMPORARY!!! Steel Cruicible matters. Need to change.Image

You've messed up some of the pictures under spoilers (and you should probably use a wider green/red outline for viewer's convenience), and I'm not so sure about Steel Crucible, Chair and Winepress. As far as I remember their quality used to matter, but I'm not a 100% sure so a second opinion would be nice.

Other than that, great post. Will redirect people constantly asking in chat about constructions quality here.

I think you should mention that building all building is not skills mattering, only materials mattering.

Nice post. Great idea as it's hard to figure some of this out.

You didn't read the replies. Stuck my foot in my mouth on that one.

As the old tagline used to read: Open mouth, insert foot... echo internationally.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

1. If U were talking about "Containers" - fixed, thx. Maybe something more I miss?
2. I'll do wider boreders, thought of it, thx for feedback.
3. As I said - it was totally based on my own experience, maybe my strucrures were just better then possible products... will change, since we have more reports..
I've met some info about table quality, not sure about chairs...

2. What is "black lives"?

1. I've lost some of my older chars due to my own stupidity recently, so I don't have icons for knarr (as ram too)... will fix it later.
2. Don't know anything of bonfire - just purposed it 's q maters. Are u sure it doesn't?
Ysh wrote:I think you should mention that building all building is not skills mattering, only materials mattering.

I was thinking about full-guide, how to increase q of every structure, with quality, but then decided to post this raw info without any "subjectional aditions"...
Thx to all of you for valuable feedback...

Any missing icons along knarr and bat.ram?
