I have no idea what to do. I made a base with a fence and a new hearth fire in the middle of it, but everything I do is the same as usual except that I have a base (if you can call it that). What do I do to progress in the game further, because all I do is walk around and eat stuff and sometimes I get a stat increase. Please help.

yeah but you can also get a pumpkin and turn it in to a pumpkin mask and wear it around while you eat plums and blackberries

Depends on how you look at it. Just eat your "5 a day" and you're gonna live forever, but those who stay here usually find their own reasons to play.
This games has many layers to it though.

However, I would highly suggest trying other genres.
