What animals can you get Take Aim from?

It's been dozens of ants since the last time I got a discovery from them, and I wonder if I've hit some kind of limit without getting Take Aim.

Ants are being notoriously slow to give combat discoveries. Move up to bats.

Need to meet requirements before you can get the move. Remember reading a lot of complaints about not getting chop from people last couple of worlds, too.

Can you be a little more specific? Do I need to up my melee or get some skills? Personally forge a sword?

I got it from a fox. It's completely random, it was my second discovery.
Combat discoveries are a complete clusterfuck. They make the early game so ridiculously hard. If you can't get the right moves, you're doomed to death by a thousand knicks and knacks.

you need to meet IP and equipment requirements. If you want a move with IP such as chop, you need to stack up 4 IP first (if I recall correctly) and have sword or axe. If you're looking for Sting, you need a sword or spear (if I recall correctly) and enough IP.

Same stuff. I got chop as my first discovery without having any ip or axe. Seem like it doesn't work like that anymore.
