Get stronger and/or acquire better tools (like sledgehammer). Wrecking ball is also an option.

Nvm

Just tried with 80 STR using bearcape and tooth. It's damaging it. So below 80 str atleast for a timber house.

Can't remember the numbers. To say honestly, I think early world wrecking ball is the best option. It's just one hardened leather and is useful for renovating/extending your plot.

Well, you can build it, wait 24h, use it, disassemble, move, assemble again, wait another 24h and use again. Slow but reusable.

Yeah, but it also depends on how much of your palisade you are lucky/unlucky to get destroyed. It's not just one tile in one go but most often several, sometimes - quite many. Sometimes quite a lot, so be prepared to make urgent repairs. :)

Damage = sqrt (STR) + tool damage; +1 for stone axe, +2 for pick axe, +4 sledge hammer
Soak = how much damage a building absorbs before loosing HP.
Thus, total STR needed to damage is (soak + 1 - tool damage) ^ 2

You can look up soak of buildings on the RoB wiki. In the case of a palisade or brick wall (or other walls if they might get added), if it's set already, you much use a siege engine.

Another tip on the wrecking ball: it can be pretty easy to face it the wrong way the first couple of times you assemble it. Try to use it and if it gives you the option to destroy, it's set right, otherwise it's facing the wrong way. You still get an error message if you do select "destroy," something like "this needs time to dry" or such.
