Leech Burns?

Leeches don't seem to be converting unfaced or blunt trauma to leech burns, wiki says there is "a chance" of this to happen.
I've tried 10 leeches with various qualities, to no avail. buff leeches pls

Had the same luck earlier myself with six leeches trying to heal 3 points of Unfaced. Yesterday or day before one I healed 12 points of wounds with 4 leeches. RNG giveth and RNG says "fuck you."

Keep trying. They'll heal it eventually, and I believe quality matters. Try to reuse your leeches when you can.

i do but they do more damage now, dammit jorb you think this is a joke?

I hate searching forever for mouflons and taming them is out of the question with "punch until 1 is ded what is a block" combat system, can't I just heal with a leech?

Pretty sure high quality ones are well worth the extra damage. It could be the chance to heal is linked to the damage they do, or they might just be more likely to heal other wounds at higher qualities.

I suspect higher quality ones cause more leech burns per point of shp damage (a good thing for healing).

They do. my ~20 leeches are doing 4 leech burns now. I thought jorb had posted in patch notes that they always did leech burns, but not always healed. It's not what I'm seeing, though. I'm not always seeing leech burns, and less likely to get a heal from the leech burns.

These leeches just don't seem to be cutting it. I've just gone through about 10 of them at q17 and they didn't touch my unfaced. I would use mud-ointment, but alas, I don't have enough PERC*EXPL to be able to see any blood-sterns yet and from what I've read about toad butter....I'm not going to go out on a limb to use it.

I've read up a bit that this is a problem that's been happening since W8 ... viewtopic.php?f=42&t=42119&hilit=Unfaced

Jorb even commented saying he would take a look at the leech issue (viewtopic.php?f=42&t=42119&hilit=Unfaced#p552536) but it doesn't seem like much has been done about it... I've also seen posts from this world about people having issues trying to heal with 'em.

From what I can understand, it's this "RNG" random event type of deal for leeches to convert wounds to leech burns.. I feel as though they should have a better chance at healing..especially for the early days of your character, before you're able to find blood-stern.

Yea, I read your thread. I 'spose it would've been smarter for me to just comment on that thread rather making a near identical one...I'll see if I can ask a mod to merge it. I know it's a no-no for duplicates..
