Cave ins in level 5

Cave ini @ level 5 didnt kill me.





I have 276 hp = 75 cons

No I didnt.
I use low q metals to build suports and if i can, for exploring purposes I do the minesweeper minigame and thats enough. Ive never used the mining helmet.
The problem was that the tile before the one that produced the cavein was one of those neverending ones and my inventory and ground were full of stones, I got distracted and didnt saw the dust falling nor the dust in the ground so I kept mining.
I posted this because one day before we were talking in the reign about level 5 caveins and some people affirmed that a level 5 can kill you if you are below 300hp. And it doesnt.

At least it depends on how many stones you manage to get on your head. And then I am not sure the single stone damage is a fixed figure either...

Very strange. My gf had cavein on 49 Severe Mauling mining at 2 level.
Anyway, only 1 hashhorn salve and it becames an easy wound that heals by gauze.

I took 3 cave-in on L5 this world (yes, i'm a retarded miner). First one did me 70 hhp damage, the 2 other one did 250-300 damage. Damage of cave in is indeed random.

my experience with cavein's last world is they took away a % of my health, so was never too much but never too little, was around 30% hhp.

It's the same now, it's a fixed percent of your maximum health. Which makes gaining con on your miner annoying.
The mistake most people make is to try and run away from the falling rocks, often this results in them getting hit by multiple rocks and is the only way you can be killed by one provided you're not already injured.
