"Crab Caressed" is unhealable except by ancient windthrow roots, right?
Are there any better ways to cut the chances of getting wounded than Poor Man's Gloves?

Poor man's gloves and plate gauntlets lower the chance of getting the wound but they aren't reliable (as the chance is still about 25%)

I've gotten crabs around q25. The claws are decent curios for early game and the crab shell can be made into a chitin helmet which is OK armor for early game and can also be made into the chitin sequins which, again, for early game, can be good guild. It goes for Cooking, Carpentry and Stealth.

i guess the only reason to collect crabs at all is if you have no other alternative to bones or food
