Personal Claim re-positioning

Postby FictionRyu » Sat May 13, 2017 6:15 pm

I just knocked down my old house, and when I began in the spot I'm at, I had placed my claim stake right in-front of the house off to the side..now that I've destroyed that house, a big void is left and my claim stake sticks out like a sore thumb and I wish to move it. I obviously know there's no feature implemented yet (I wish JorbTar would consider the various C&I's made on that topic..even for a 4k price similar to making a subsequent claim) but I was wondering how much LP will I have to save up in-order to de-claim and move it.

Is there a formula to figure out how much LP I'd need? I know it's 10LP per square..I currently have a 17,664 m-squared area..I think? I don't know. I'm absolutely horrendous when it comes to much more than basic math. It was one of my weakest subjects in school >.>

I just did a basic multiplication and did 10*17,664 and got 176,640 .. would that be correct on the amount of LP I need?

Sure that it's 10, not 100 per tile?
I vaguely recall that is the latter...

Iunno, I got 10 from the wiki..

Wiki wrote:The initial claim area is a 5x5 square around the totem. It can be expanded at the cost of 10 LP per square (note that personal claims do not refund LP anymore, so what's spent is lost after declaiming).

10 per tile, check it on a small Pclaim I have.

Are you part of a village? It's cheaper just to make a Vclaim than it is to reclaim that personally.

Nah, I'm hermit. I've got ~50k so far. Just gotta keep on top of the curios and not spend any. So, just a waiting game if it is 176,640k .

Hermits can easily maintain a village claim if they're remotely active.

About 3-4 days a week. Few hours at a time. Though my curio supply is kinda..well, not that great. I rarely craft any, most of the time I rely upon forageables. But I haven't gotten out lately to find any..been doing modifications to my place. :|

I think you're seriously overestimating the effort required to maintain a minimum size village claim.

Wiki says a village requires 5000 authority per day. With base stats, it takes 5k LP earned per day. However, both int and cha increase the authority you generate. With 50 points of int and 10 of CHA, you need a mere 2.24k LP per day.

If you're getting less than 35k / week, ok you can't support a village depending on your stats. Considering you consider 170k LP reasonable to save up, I'd be shocked if you were willing to wait 5 weeks in order to save it up.

I've never really gone into thought about a village claim. It's something I'll look into now though.

With a study desk is quite easy to sustain a village claim.
Checked, it is 10LP per tile claimed for the personal one - no idea where the 100 I had in mind come from...
