Can we trap duids?

Postby Infinity-Production » Sun Jul 23, 2017 3:50 am

I want to enslave a druid of nature, trap him inside my claim and make him dance for my entertainment, like a good old dancing bear.
So the question is... is it possible?
Will he despawn if left alone for too long?

Reasons for doing this.
1. Good income of experience, 400 exp i believe, but of course only once in a while.
2. I think it would give status to who ever manage to trap this noble creature.
3. I could attract people to use shops while they are visiting the druid.

Let us leash them!
Total misplay.

Everyone knows that you cannot truly leash nature.

You can if you give it blunt trauma.
Total misplay.

guessed as much, i was hoping them to wander around the map eternally without despawning. Making them a contactable resource, only for exp though, and decoration.

Only tame creatures do not despawn (or at least leashed ones, and those just take longer than normal). And just to reiterate:

What about trolls, they don't despawn. Is there any confirmation that Druids don't work like Trolls do?

Wait, they don't? So would it be theoretically possible to have a bunch of captive trolls?
