looking on my char who is currently nakey and has completed the forager's creedo, I only see a +2 on me exploration and I see only a +1 on my perception. the creedo says it gives a +10 on both?

It increases base stats rather than apply a bonus like equipment.

so does that mean as I increase that stat, it will nullify the bonus?

No, it's as if you gained the stats normally, like spending LP or eating food.

The short answer ^^ (fukin ninjas)

An example: A fresh character starts at 1s and 10s in skills and attributes respectively. If all you did was add in the credo, it'd be the same, except inheriting from that ancestor would now start you out at 11 exploration and 20 perception. Your costs would be 1200 LP to increase exploration, and you'd need 20 FEP to raise attributes.

Wait, what? Has that been tested?
Because if it works that way (and the levels are kept) then suicide after each credo is really a no-brainier...

Pretty sure that's how jorb wrote it up... as far as suicides go, I'm pretty sure we pointed that out. I suppose I have a character I could "throw off a cliff" for testing that I've only completed one credo on... Was waiting till I got the farming credo finished first, though, because doing it for only one seemed a bit of a waste of other efforts.

I mean, you keep the completed credos on inheritance, yes?

I started this world after credos were implemented, so I've been suiciding frequently since I don't really give a shit about quality in my crappy hermitage... and...

It actually seems even "better" than that. It seems like the inheritance counts the points from the credo, and then the points from the credo are added again - meaning you can actually kill yourself and (slightly) raise certain stats. I told J&L but they didn't respond :)

Its actually slightly irritating because now I have much higher strength than other stats, but of course they are all so low its not a big deal.

This is without burying the body yet! After burial, several other skills related to credo bonuses were also (slightly) improved on the descendant relative to the ancestor.

So if I got this right, when you die, it tracks your Exploration as 11, thus you'd have like 3 on the new character, plus the +10 from the Forager credo? This is unexpected.

Something like that, yeah. I'm not sure precisely how inheritance works now, but I'm pretty sure >100% is not what one should expect...
