solo vs trol ?

What str/agi/con I should have to fight lvl3 troll alone ? I can fight all NPC without a scratch, except - I did not try a mammoth and ... a troll.

Is it even doable for a single hermit to kill a troll? Or, should I leave this as a honorable death myself before the end of W10 ?

You can use high quality arrows to kill it.
Or low quality if you don't care about troll skull q.
For this you can just create fresh alts.

Thanks for hints. Could you provide a bit more insights about how it is done? For example, if I want to use good arrows, would a troll use caverns on me?

I would guess you spawn an alt, give it a bow and an arrow, go to the troll, shoot it, most likely die soon after, repeat till it's dead. It should only cast cave-in in case it can't reach you, so you should do that in a bigger room so that won't get blocked.

Bows are quick and cheap to mass-produce, characters are not.

Well, if you JUST want to get to Archery (for Shoot!), you can usually get there with just discovery xp. There may be a little left there for a few points in MM, though it'd probably be a trivial amount. Time, sure. Expense? Not so much so.
