Making cheese

Postby DoctorCookie » Wed Jan 24, 2018 4:13 pm

I have curds and am ready to make cows cheese. Can I get some detailed information on stages and real time please? I am assuming that once I place my curds in a tray on a rack that a timer starts. How long(real time) does it take for a stage to complete and how long do I have to move it or get it out of the tray before I am left with generic gouda? Thx.

Thanks for replying. With all due respect it does not answer any of my specific questions. The only time given on the wiki is curd time. For example with steel it is very specific in when you have to refuel and when the cycle is completed in real time. I recognize that it says 40 hours for cellar on the sheep flowchart and 108 for outside but that's it, and I am making cow cheese. Is that real time or game time? I realize it says that stage time varies per cheese, that is why I am asking here for specifics. I also have a job and a baby and can only play during certain hours, so if a stage takes 40 realtime hours and then turns to generic gouda if i dont get it out of the cellar in 5 minutes then it may not be possible for me to mess with cheese. If I missed where it gives these details I apologize.

I see that you can click on the cheeses on the charts and get time in hours. Is that game time or real time? Also if I am late getting it to the next location when does it turn to generic gouda, or is it the moving between wracks that triggers the stages. If that is the case then times are not that important. Thanks.

Ok I can take a leap and say that it is game hours as some of those cheeses would take a couple of real life months to complete were it otherwise. What of my other question.

you've got a fair amount of time before it gouda-fies.

Times on the wiki are typically real time unless specifically stated otherwise. Otherwise, game time doesn't translate to real time at a specific rate.

Its real time hours on the wiki.
When I made the sheep cheese image I didn't have all the timers yet.
One of my villagers said gouda is made in 2 days so should be fine.

There used to be a really good chart for cheese. Has that disappeared, or is it out of date?

Ok so after clicking on every type of cheese there are a couple that say that the changes are not triggered until it is removed and placed on a new rack. That solves that, sorry I did not see it. But, wow, I have to wait 440 real hours for brique?! Thats well over 18 days. The payoff better be incredible.

Oskcypki is the most expensive cheese on the market for a reason.
