Can't discover nidbane fetter?

So i've discovered scents of Theft & Vandalism, Iron, bronze & wrought iron, beeswax & candleberry wax, Dreams and I was taught Mandrake Roots yet i can't craft Nidbane Fetters, is there an issue in discovering from teaching? or maybe the scent needed is wrong?

I'm pretty sure there is a bug, i just used my alt to teach one of each ingredient to my main and neither can create a fetter.

For reference, i used the following items and all were "old news"

Scent of Theft
Bar of Wrought Iron
Bar of Bronze
A beautiful dream
Beeswax
Mandrake Root

I have all skills in the game on my main too.

I was under the impression that you can't teach an item unless you have actually discovered it?

Last I check you can do this one, and it will look as if it is taught, but no teaching have been done.

Perhaps that should be considered a bug with teaching then?

Not sure how that's a bug with teaching. Can't teach something you haven't "discovered" on a character. Could I teach you how to write if I don't know how to write myself?

I'd suggest using your existing recipes to cross-reference what you've discovered, but with so many additions to the game this world and "discovery resets," it's probably not helpful.

You might try Community Fair for someone that can teach you the materials.

No that's what i mean, if my alt can teach my main all of the materials that implies my alt has discovered them? ifaik when I died I couldn't teach items that I hadn't rediscovered yet but the guy above says that you can?

Possibly that character is lacking Rage, which is needed to apply own intentions onto uncooperative others?
