Game login fails and compatibility problems

Hello, I'm a new user located in Italy. I recently registered for this game, and checked that my username and password were right. However, even though I can log in this site, I cannot log in the game. Why is it?

Login is case sensitive, you might have typed your username without an capital A infront.

I don't think I have the same problem. Already when my game gets started, it says "could not connect to server", and I don't understand anything of what is said in that topic

They might have blocked access to certain things, I suggest to either get actual internet or kindly ask the powers that be at the university IT to allow you the access you need.

I read your post better, it might be the fluctuating times, since it goes from 26 ms to 298 ms. Maybe I should go home and hope it works there. Internet in Italy is awful

While the network latency isn't always indicative of issues, if it's bouncing around a lot, it's a problem. Could be the manner you're connecting to the network, too. If you're using WiFi, and there are a lot of other connections, it can cause problems with any gaming, even web browsing. Using a wired connection or connecting to a different router can make a difference.

From my experience, university wireless networks are always congested.

Alright, I'm home, using a more stable connection. However, I'm on Mac. I can't talk to the wizard at the beginning. I'm trying to ctrl click him, but nada

The only solution I can recall is an older version of Java, which I don't recommend due to security issues. (Here's the old thread if you're curious: http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/vie ... 20#p530419.)

There are some other workarounds you can use, such as input emulators and key macros. Apple doesn't like Java, and doesn't seem to like "standardized" input methods. They're still stuck on the "one button" mouse from the 1970s Xerox PARC GUI development.
