There's three basic strats, these numbers are for <100 max stat after that the numbers get a little off but the concept holds.
200-300%
Either for characters you don't use often/don't do anything energy related, or for active characters you're putting a lot of time questing into. You use entirely power foods, little to no variety food, aiming for 1 FEP per 4-6% hunger. This is the optimal stat gain option with active questing, but you will have time to do little else. Best used for warrior characters imo. Done right 20+ stat gain per day isn't unreasonable.
150-200%
Most characters will sit in this range natively if they aren't energy intensive. Farmers, cooks, sewers, etc. Questing is less useful but still helpful since hunger isn't the only benefit it applies. You will be mixing in some minor variety with 1-3 power foods per FEP bar while mostly using power foods. You'll be eating 2-3 power foods + 1-3 variety per stat. 1 FEP per 6-10% hunger. 10-20 stat gain per day is normal.
150% and lower
Miners, labour alts will be sitting in this range. Between hunger and satiation your stats are extremely difficult to raise compared to the other options. 3 power food and 4-5 variety per FEP aren't uncommon. In previous worlds this could be overcome with bulk food being shoveled into their mouths, but the current satiation system kills that pretty hard. You will empty the cupboards of your village for 10 stats gained per day. But you need the energy so the cupboard emptying was going to happen anyway. It is difficult to get stats you need as you might resort to eating just for energy.
Long story short: As a miner raising PSY is almost completely out of the question. Dex can be powered through via chicken chorizo, fishing for asp, etc. But psy just doesn't have the mass produceable power food you need as a miner to get it.
