Alts on same or different account

Postby Saeter » Tue Mar 05, 2019 12:48 pm

Just got back to this game after a very long time since I tried it last time. Now getting to the point where some alts would be useful.

What are the reasons for making alts on different accounts, as I see that some do. Is it just to be able to log in several characters at the same time, or are there other advantages too?

Mostly that.

or are there other advantages too?

Not that I am suggesting it, but if you are planning to do something potentially ban-able it might be worth to do it on a different account. Might not help you to get away though.

People share crafter accounts.
People also sell accounts.

For a hermit/"village" with a couple friends, all on the same account is better because you share subscriptions/verification. For a village player you might want shared characters, and that would be worth considering a second account for.

Short of outright attempting to hack the server or other players, not much is going to get you banned from the game.

You need at least two accounts, else you won't be able to know the other characters and have problems with claim permissions.

True, in case you want to stick to stake claims.
But you can't oath a character on the same account, HS or not.

You're right but we've deviated from the original subject here.
developing a char on different accounts , a fresh spawn do the trick for village invites.
I use 2 accounts personally , both verified / subscribed ( otherwise I would stick to one I guess) , I couldn't personally play with just one but it's probably not a big deal to only have one tbh.
