Was here years ago, and cant find an answer at forum.

Is it possible to download and start my local/personal server?
Not current version, few years old could be fine too, even before 3d (especially before 3d )
Want to play safety sandbox and my kids want to play, game is perfect for them.

While you can't play on a personal server - the old version of haven is still running and has like 2 people playing at any given time. It is almost impossible that you will be attacked or even see anyone.

Seatribe has little interest in turning this into a single player/private game. Jorb has posted it many times on the matter.

You will need to gain a "verfied account" from the store--https://www.havenandhearth.com/portal/store to access the legacy game. I believe a couple of the modded clients are available, too, but I don't keep track of them. If I recall right, the Union client is posted in the Legacy thread I linked.

also check back when the world is less populated and fully explored, you'll find many empty areas of little interest where you can virtually play alone, taking some precaution

We had one world, W8 I believe, where the world was HUGE, hours and hours and hours across and no oceans, few rivers, so it is very easy to isolate yourself.

A bunch of us made a village 6+ hours from starting point. Never saw a soul. Could hunt, build, cook, grind in peace.

It was so fucking boring and depressing.

You need to craft yourself a ship on the main one and go to find your place
