Am I crazy or did Hedgehogs get 10x harder to find

Been stuck on my forager creedo trying to find hedgehogs all day. Don't wanna skip it because you can still get stuff you can only do in autumn. Anyone else experiencing a distinct lack of any hedgehogs?

On the contrary, I've found an abundance of them! Seems every time I take a trip through some grasslands I see several of them scatter.

They are biome specific.

Depends on biomes. Either run in a straight line in one direction until you see one, or hop a boat and cruise rivers in one general direction until you see one. Ezpz, trust me.

They are everywhere in the biomes my main base is nearby. On the other hand I've yet to see a single mole even after wondering around for hours.

I played for like less than 1 hour and saw a decent amount. Your luck or wrong biomes.

Quite the possibility that their spawn biomes got changed, or maybe the chance to spawn on some biomes got tweaked, intentionally or otherwise.

Not so much due to biomes, but probably due to another player(s) in the area that also hunt them for their skins, as the hedgehogs are much easier to catch than rabbits or even squirrels.
