I haven't heard back from loftar yet. Can you confirm which Java program you are using to launch Haven? The program used should be "java.exe," though "javaw.exe" should work as well (it's more or less an extended version of the basic Java launcher). These should be titled "Java(TM) Platform SE binary." Right click autohaven-<user_name>.jar and mouse over "Open with... >" should indicate which application is being used as the first listed.
My suspicion, from the bug report, is that the third, and no longer used Java launcher "Java Web Start" (javaws.exe), is being used to attempt to launch Haven. There was an update to Java in 2019 that prompted the change, and some of our old support posts haven't been properly updated or moved. If a person were to follow the old instructions, then they'd get an error about unable to process the file, and some information in the crash report further indicate that it is the problem. If my line of thought is correct, then it didn't occur to me that it may be the problem until I read the report.
If you need to manually find "java.exe" the default location for it in Windows is "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_281\bin" (the version number jre1.8.0_281 changes when Java updates).
