so basicly you just afk/wait to regain your stamina?

You can drink to accel things like chop a tree that consum a lot stamina , but donth go running and drinking everywhere because drinking consume more energy than natural stamina regeneration.
You fuck your feed level and your energy bar.

You need to be very conservative on stamina use if you want to grind FEPs optimally when you're eating shitty foods like everyone is right now. Rat on a stick has a pretty high energy regen to hunger penalty, I'm sure we'll see more like that. But the old haven method of plowing through your stamina as fast as you could is no longer optimal for character development.

this will make me lose more energy - my problem is i can regain my energy without further reducing my food efficency

Food Efficacy is supposed to reduce percentage wise as you get more full

My energy never drops below 80% really

Dunno seems like a mess, not sure what they are having issues with. Energy and Stamina are being tossed around bass akwards. 100% food efficiency hasn't been an issue.

iam having problem keeping my energy up... to keep up my energy i have to eat tons and tons of junk which fucks up my fep... is there any other way to gain energy or at least some low lvl food that acually restores a good amount of engery? most only give 1-4%

So here's my understanding of the FEP/Energy system

Energy is consumed directly whenever you regain stamina (Think of it as a storage for stamina), if you're under 1000 energy, you begin to lose health (Starvation damage in the HHP menu). In order to heal this, you have to be above 4k energy (When it says Healing, this is also the time your SHP will heal)

Each food has two values, Stamina % and Hunger %, Stamina is exactly how much that piece of food will refill your energy meter by (Most berries and such give 25-50%, while cooked foods give 250%)

Hunger only goes down with IRL time, and all hunger dictates is how much FEP you will get, it also seems Food Satiations? exist, which I can't tell 100% what they are but my current theory is some sort of 'food craving', which might give bonus FEP from that food type. Alternatively it could be "Eating too much of the same food", which would give a mlus to Fep. Foods can be multiple categories, such as this ant queen being food + forge http://i.imgur.com/nKbRVmG.png

Efficacy is a direct multiplier for how much FEP you gain from eating things, Starving is 300%, Hungry is 200%, There's a step with 100% I forgot the name of, Content gives 90%, Full gives 50%, stuffed gives 25%.

Basically, the idea is to stop stuffing your face with berries and things that aren't nutritional because you're going to get full and hardly get any energy off of it, and focus on full meals such as spitroasted rabbits/chickens or other animals.

All of this is correct, but one more thing you have to keep in mind with FEP is that it directly effects your Base Attributes. Different foods give you different stat boosts, so if you want a character with high Perception and Intelligence, Hazelnuts and Blueberries are a completely reasonable food to eat early on, since you have a 300% efficacy when you first start your character. Berries are the most effective then. It isn't until you start getting one or two hunger levels higher that it starts to become difficult, and energy becomes much more of a major factor, where cooked foods seem like the next best option. At that point, how are you supposed to keep your hunger down when you're eating larger meals to replenish your energy more efficiently, effectively making it impossible to level your base stats using the foods that gave you those preferred specific stats in the first place?

Your Hunger steadily increases (getting more hungry) overtime, and that seems to be the only way to refresh your Hunger to a low enough level again to benefit from those specific foods you want to eat. Again, time seems to be the only factor that increases Hunger, unlike the previous iteration of the game, where hard labor and drinking were factors. Eventually, your character may get too full in Hunger, but still have low Energy, since it falls at a much faster rate than Hunger does, effectively making your character completely useless until enough time goes by to have their Hunger increase again. It seems to be a vicious cycle.

My question is does your hunger go down while you are offline? Quicker? The same speed? If we must stay logged in it's a pretty fucked up time wasting mechanic to make sure we are burning our hours..

It is at a fixed rated no matter if you are on or off. Server downtime not counting, of course.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
