I split my carrot seed stack, but I can't seem to merge them again.

I had to plant a 3 and a 2 stack.

Left click one stack, right click the other. Quality (or whatever it is) will be the average of them.

You can join them again by holding one and right-clicking the other.

you get 10 seeds and 1 carrot at stage 3, you get 2 carrots at 4. Up to you which to harvest.
