jorb said they're a bit less aggressive than boars. I dont' want to tangle with one as I can't even kill an ant yet. :(

They're fast, which is frustrating. Had a few run from me and I had to be on sprint speed to keep up with it. Luckily they only seem to have around 250 health so they're not too durable.
They're much stronger than foxes in combat. I had a skill pop up to learn from it but I was in no position to learn it until I git gud. =(

Badgers are as fast as your 3rd speed setting. Maybe a tiny little slower. Faster than boars, slower than you.
