Tar kiln: will it ever finish?

Is it linear? Let's say 1 wood block burns for 2 hours, 10 will burn for 20?
Or is it like 40 blocks - 3 days, 1 block - 2.5 days, everything else is in between?

The more you fill it up, the less time it will take per unit of wood, indeed. When filled fully, the amount of time per unit of wood is halved. Also, some wood types burn differently fast (though not hugely different).

I was wondering what is it for anyway ? I don't remember tar in H&H1 but then again I've never went to the end of the production line. (Talking about tar)

So far, 2.5 liters of it can be used for tarsticks, which are a single-square item that fully fills the fuel bar in a fireplace. I'm not sure if it's usable for other things as well, but I'm not very far along.

I'm also wondering if I made a mistake by filling this thing all the way up with wood. Has anybody gotten a burn time yet on a fully-stocked pit?

If this structure had menu that we can check what type of wood is better. But sitting at it for 3 days and waiting for miracle isnt fun at all...

I'm fairly sure TAR's a lot more to do in the game other than sTARing at it.

It should be said that the more you put in them, the longer it takes to finish.

I have put one block and it's "working" for 12 hours already. Ill need to wait 3 days too for one block?

who can tell please what the max number of blocks i can put in tar kiln ?i'm still waiting for mine ,and probably i filled with max wood blocks,but i didn't notice how many blocks

Devs pls can you check Tar kiln in scripts. Because first that I built already burning for 5 days and did nothing Next one with 1 block is burning 17 hours already. Are you using randoms value there? No progress bar makes it pain and my team 2 days just waiting for coal to continue playing active.

it seems to work fine even if i dont like the time effort that is needed for coal to do 1 metal turn in the smelter. Did put 1 block in the tar killn this night after 3h it was still burning. AFter i woke up arround 11h after i did put it in it was done. so it finished somewhere inbetween. But that effort to get 2 coal(cuz 1 woodblock) will result in a tar killn spam.
to bad we cat use the tar (tar branches) for selters too.
