Only inside caves from what I've seen. But possible there's a different mountain biome I don't live on that spawns it still.

Yes, they are now. There was a bug a few updates ago where they weren't.

that could explain why i used to see lots of chimming blue bells before ... but not anymore :(!
what is the exp*per for them anyways ? or while we are at it - what is the exp*per to see all curios :D!

Don't know. For all we know there are curios out there that require 1000 exploration and 1000 perception. We'll begin to know once we start compiling data via the wiki. =)
