Was fishing and noticed that sometimes phrases loop. Can't remember the phrase unfortunately but I kept pressing the same answer over and over and got that phrase like 40 times in a row.(wanted to be sure lol) Also saw 2 and 3 phrase loops. They just kept reappearing in the same order if I kept pressing the same buttons and there was no progress on the stages.

Because of these repeating messages that I think it's not quite like Salem, but it is actually a maze/flowchart of questions.

It actually is. The phrase you get depends on the fish type, previous phrase and answer to it. Each phrase has 2 positive answers and 2 negative as far as I can tell. 2 answers weight 1 point and 2 others more I guess, but how much is hard to tell. For example, catfish always gets caught from the middle stage if you choose down on the phrase "it shifts". Up is also a correct answer but it will give you 1 point, which either does nothing(cuz you don't have enough points to advance) or advances you to higher stage if you needed only 1 point to do it.
