Well the wiki is telling me something completely different lol, its telling me i use 2 branches to make the pole, then taproot to make the line, then a hook (which i have), and then bait( which i also have).

The wiki is, unfortunately, somewhat outdated at the moment since the launch of the new world.

I have not yet, im still trying to figure it out i guess i need cloth, or linen.

was wondering if anyone knew what is required to increase your chances for getting fish at harder nodes? it reminds me of mining. some are very easy to fish and others... I just see hourglass after hourglass for a long time and nothing happens. for those nodes what do I do to gather fish from them?

Move to areas that aren't as depleted on fish and that have easier to catch fish.

so you are saying that I can catch fish at any location the only factor is if the area has been depleted or not?

To be honest I don't fully know or understand fishing. Loftar mentioned that fish could be depleted in an area, presumably meaning that if you overfish an area fish will take longer and longer to catch. Different types of fish also take longer to catch than others and various factors such as location, time of day, and bait used seem to attract different fish. So if you're having trouble in an area then it may be time to move down the river for fishing or to change up your bait. I have noticed that if fishing is particularly bad at any given time, just waiting awhile and trying again later usually resolves any problems.

maybe increasing q of fishing supplies increases it ? because I haven't seen anyone fishing where I am. its true that fishing at different times gets you different types of fish. same for different areas. it just feels like I'm missing something that I should increase in order to get better fish from that spot.. thx for trying to help

made new character to check it out, got fishing, found chickens, made hook, found taproot, still missed someting, found tree with bough, got fishingpole recipe.

I have found all of those things, so i have no idea what is going on lol
