Why did you plant them so close together? Won't they stunt?

Edit: Just found out that spacing doesn't matter anymore.

Nope! Stunting doesn't work the same as old worlds. Instead of objects causing trees to stunt, some trees will just randomly stop growing. You have no real control over it now. =)

Yeah, it's luck. Most people won't have any problems with it at all because decay hits will strike their area and hit trees, causing them to regrow leaves. The problem is mostly for unlucky players that just never get decay hits on their trees. =(

Both my spruce and my mulberries are spawning a biome I've never seen in game. It might exist but if it does it's super rare.

Looks like the 'wald' biome. I've seen that natively a couple of times.

I'm not sure if there's really any rare biomes. There's just a larger diversity now, so you'll have to walk further to find different ones.

How can you tell the biome name? Never figured that out lol.

BDew's client has a "world tooltip" toggle that shows it.

Yeah, wold isn't rare at all. I have large patches of wold mixed in with lichenwald, pinebarren, timberland, and sombrebramble. All but pinebarren are mixed type forests, so it is really hard to tell what biome a specific tree really "likes" so far. Pine, Yew, and Spruce spawn wold for me as well, when I would have guessed they would have preferred pinebarren (the mostly conifer forest type).

Apple tree, mulberry tree, and spruce/fir are all spawning wald for me (I thought it was an A anyway).

Jorb did say they make a "generic" forest biome.

Yes, you are correct, it is wAld. Don't know why I read it as an O while in lichenwald I plainly saw the A.
