I would suggest you join a village, then, as without basic defenses, you're just going to keep experiencing this. New Brodgar is pretty friendly to new players, and there are others around.

I'm in the process of building my first palisade. I used to think it was too hard, but it really isn't. After the first post goes down, you just need logs to extend it.

Are you fudging kidding me? Palisade is the most expensive thing I've seen in-game. Never getting that, not because i don't want to, but because I'll never get that kinda loot.

Go hunt for taproots and rabbits, the rest is just 10 minutes of chop chop. (and waiting for hides to dry and tan, which takes too damn long)

that should be enough of a reason to fill your inventory with your best items and move to a better place, far away from those people before they fuck you up even more.

Pickup everything and start moving in 1 direction for a few hours then settle down. You will have tons of ore boulders around, caves that are not mined yet, full tree and berries that aren't picked yet, most important of all nobody to eff up your place, and mainly neighbor that are friendly that have the same peaceful mindset (since most poeple who willing to travel hours and hours are the one who want to be left alone)

I would like to add that both times "he/she" came, they only killed two. First 2/5, then came and killed two more. I only have a hen now.
