UA and stats for boar ?

Try finding a friend to spar with, so both of you can train combat without getting really hurt! This way you can understand how combat works while really fighting something. Then, just read about other moves, IP generating moves, IP use moves and things like that

Here is how to kill any animal in the game.

Punch
Quick Dodge
Take Aim
Chop

If the animal can break your defence in a single hit, take Side Step too. And if you don't think you can kill the animal fast (no sword for example), take Jump as well as most animals will slowly build up IP and use a strong yellow attack.

Start every fight using Quick Dodge then Take Aim. You can do both of these before an animal gets to you. Then punch until it has no green defence then chop. Keep Quick Dodge up at all times.

Outside of maybe Bears (haven't tried yet), there isn't a single animal in the game this wont work on.

What I don't understand is what is the Melee skill for? Seems everyone uses UA, and yet has a sword and Chop. Shouldn't Chop be dependant on Melee skill?

MY UA is 50 and my AGI is 45 before any adjustments. If I have near full health ~180 or more I can kill a boar w/o the use of armor, but I end up getting a Deep Cut or two. Horses and Deer are still out of my league though.

50 ua 50 agi solos a boar without any issues. Could probably do it without much skill in the system at 50ua/30agi. Quick dodge, jump, left hook.

So you don't consider taking damage an "issue" then?

At 50 UA and 0 MC, Boar will break your defense + either do some damage to your health or do some dmg to another defensive move. Since you only chose to use "Quick Dodge" and "Jump" as defensive moves, then any skill boar does will do damage against your health. (Unless you wear armor of course).

Just using left hook is problematic because at 50 UA you won't break the boar defense in 1 attack.

Even with Jump, using your stategy any animal that has higher UA than you will always do damage to your health when they use a yellow attack.
