If you get a discovery unlocking new recipe there are grinding gears above your character i think :roll: :roll:

but you only get discovery LP for a category once, though. try acre clay vs ball clay on a new char, acre clay gives a double experience because of "any clay" + recipes specifically requiring acre clay. afterwards you don't get a discovery from ball clay anymore, because nothing specifically requires ball clay.

Yes, I said that, and then I said you get for all items as a way to give early LP to starting characters. Maybe I worded it poorly, but the LP for everything is quite intended and you don't always unlock something when you get a discovery.
