thats why people talk down on it now im looking at this, most of us are fat and lazy, id rather one shot and not worry about armor constantly or chasing fearing ill lose my dam cart again or losing the catch AND my cart lol

Sword does more damage than a spear. Wrought sword might be a little less though, not 100% sure, never used those things. No boost for using sting.

For hunting bears you might like the knuckles because you can punch their HP a bit and then cleave when they're low enough for a OHKO, to get around them enraging when at low health.

The knuckles are just to raise your punch/haymaker/whatever damage to make it easier to soften them up. Knuckles does not affect weapon damage.

Nah, knuckles go into L3 slot in equipment, you can use weapons while you have knuckles on. You need edged weapon to cleave. Knuckles only affect your unarmed damage.
